Rush to the rescue racists I am Frank Chow and I approved this message

Motherfuckin Rush Limbaugh

Still isn't funny : It's a damn shame a bloated-ego-maniacal-old man, who has literally added zero to intelligent discourse in this country, influences an entire political party . But here's the thing: Rush, I'm not bothered by your cheap race baiting. I feel sorry for you. I do. Aside from your self-inflicted poor taste in decor , unsuccessful trips down married lane , obvious weight and health issues and well your overall demeanor, I do feel sorry for you. People keep saying China is getting ahead of the United States and the more you ramble the more people realize it's because of you. In the name of patriotism, you do nothing, but destroy the fibers of what makes this country great. Unity. You thrive off divide. You thrive off the sick, the poor and the hungry and that's not a role any grown man would envy. This fried rice eating. This chopstick using. Bad at math. Over six foot. Farmer's daughter dating. Not your stereotype RAGIN blogger. AND Fluent En...

Get Your Dunkin Thursday

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news , world news , and news about the economy I don't have much to add. It was the right speech at the right time. One of President Obama's finest moments . And I listened. It's times like these that you recall why we elected the man. Could you imagine anyone other candidate pulling this off so eloquently? That's neither here nor there, at this point. Let the people of Arizona, the people of Tucson heal. The line that stuck out to me the most was when in reference to 9 year old Christina Taylor "I want us to live up to her expectations. I want our democracy to be as good as she imagined it. All of us – we should do everything we can to make sure this country lives up to our children’s expectations." I believe that says it all. We also received the remarkable news Gabbie Gifford opened her eyes. Here are your highlights: As We Mourn The odd reaction by Michelle Malkin and some on the Right Brazilian Mudslides kill at least 300 2nd...

Get Your Dunkin Thursday

Oh it's Thursday! Last night was a beautiful bon voyage to a talented man known as teh TIM. At Laughing Liberally we were subjected to hilarity, a proper roast and a hilarious slide show of teh TIM. The Accountants of Homeland Security truly threw the gauntlet down. Insert golf claps here. This weekend we are working on some anniversary time. I booked Blue 13 for our dinner and can't wait to go back. Probably window shop during the day, Bed, Bath and Beyond...don't know if will have enough time (an oldie but a goodie). More busy shizzle today, 2011 thus far has been sucky blogging apologies. Here are your highlights: What If They Had A Depression And Nobody Noticed? If you haven't figured it out yet, the Republicans don't care too much for democracy Sandra Lee is Touchy, Touchy - maybe next time date of non-politician? We are ruled by truly stupid people One last dig, Elizabeth Edwards cut John Edwards out of her will Asian American justice center's remarks on...

Have an "Amazing" Weekend

My day was shut off by the " Chinese Professor ad " which at the moment I am restraining from writing in full about. Angry Asian Man has his take here . Also note how this Yellow Peril Asian is not only threatening/menacing, but he is singing. HIDE YOUR DAUGHTERS! This weekend is football centric thanks to my amazing lady. Light blogging will ensue. Can't Blame China for Everything that Sucks

Robert Dreyfuss of the Nation : If you've read my recent cover story for The Nation magazine, " China in the Driver's Seat ," you know that I'm not a supporter of sanctioning China over its trade policy and that I think there's a troubling tendency in the United States today to blame or scapegoat China for America's ills. There is, unfortunately, a convergence of left and right on bashing China these days. On the left, criticism of China mostly revolves around allegations that China is somehow responsible for the loss of American manufacturing jobs over the past quarter-century, and that slapping harsh tariffs on China would make US-manufactured goods competitive again. On the right, the concern about China has more to do with China's emergence as a great power, complete with dire warnings from Washington think tanks, Republican politicians and neoconservative media outlets about Chinese military spending. Now, according to the New York Times , China i...

Christine O'Donnell "Fear The Yellow People"

The more we find out about this media darling, the more I loathe her. TPM via AP : Republican Senate nominee Christine O'Donnell of Delaware said in a 2006 debate that China was plotting to take over America and claimed to have classified information about the country that she couldn't divulge. O'Donnell's comments came as she and two other Republican candidates debated U.S. policy on China during Delaware's 2006 Senate primary, which O'Donnell ultimately lost. She said China had a "carefully thought out and strategic plan to take over America" and accused one opponent of appeasement for suggesting that the two countries were economically dependent and should find a way to be allies. "That doesn't work," she said. "There's much I want to say. I wish I wasn't privy to some of the classified information that I am privy to." It is this kind of unsubstantiated fear the yellow people nonsense that spreads through the under be...

Nativists Unite

Digby : Rick Perlstein reminded me of this passage from Thomas Geoghegan's wonderful book "The Secret Lives of Citizens:" It was Massey, again, who pointed it out to me. "Why in Chicago," he asked, "is there no anti-immigrant movement as there is in California?" Because the white ethnics here have their own, uh, "mexicans," to protect. White European immigrants. The Romanians, Russians ... but above all, Poles. From Poland. Many Poles. Tens of thousands. So how can the whites here complain about the latinos? We've got our own illegals to hide. That kind of clarifies things a little, doesn't it? The eastern Europeans are often highly skilled tradesmen, not day laborers like the Mexicans, who really do take high paying jobs away from citizens. It's a major issue in Europe and would be here too except for the fact that in the cities where large numbers of Poles and Russians overstay their visas and live here illegally, they are i...

Get Your Dunkin Tuesday

I missed a day! Holy moly I missed a day of INSANITY!!! My normal routine this past month or so has been wake up early, eat, go to work, come back from work and do my workout. Last night threw a wrench in that process, I had to pick up my Redskins tickets from the far reaches of Madison Avenue! No really. Hillsdale, IL where back behind a windy road, hidden amongst trees and next door neighbor to the Shire is a Fed Ex location . Fugging awful. I didn't get back till 9:30pm at which point it was lights out Frank. So I missed a workout which means I HAVE MY SKINS TIX, but I am behind a day...the plan...I am going to do the unthinkable and skip the recovery day or add it as a night workout. Yes I am that INSANE one day two workouts!! We will see, but the great part is although I feel less accomplishment having not worked out two days in a row. I FEEL less accomplishment having NOT worked out TWO days in a row. I am already a changed man and that was the whole point of this journey. Ha...

Brown is the New Yellow

A friendly reminder. I think I have posted this before, but part of my rage regarding the Arizona Immigration law is how deeply rooted it is in our history. Uhmerika hasn't changed a bit. Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882 : The Chinese Exclusion Act was a significant restriction on free immigration in U.S. history. The Act excluded Chinese "skilled and unskilled laborers and Chinese employed in mining" from entering the country for ten years under penalty of imprisonment and deportation.[7][8] The few Chinese non-laborers who wished to immigrate had to obtain certification from the Chinese government that they were qualified to immigrate, which tended to be difficult to prove.[8] Volpp argues that the "Chinese Exclusion Act" is a misnomer, in that it is assumed to be the starting point of Chinese exclusionary laws in the United States. She suggests attending to the intersections of race, gender, and U.S. citizenship in order to both understand the restraints of su...

Anne Applebum Fears the Yellow People

Anne Applebum prease terr us how you feerr : I favor another scenario, equally speculative: Perhaps the North Koreans have stepped up their war rhetoric and war preparations because China wants them to do so. Anne has a stellar resume , but when it comes to Asians she is in the field of fearing the Olympics and those darn Chinese gymnasts, CHINAAAA AWWWW and North Korea the new threat to America. She goes on with her detailed con-spiracy. By permitting North Korea to rattle its sabers, the Chinese can monitor Obama's reaction to a military threat without having to deploy a threat themselves. They can see how serious the new American administration is about controlling the spread of nuclear weapons without having to risk sanctions or international condemnation of their own nuclear industry. They can distract and disturb the new administration without harming Chinese-American economic relations, which are crucial to their own regime's stability. And if the game goes badly, they c...

Get Your Dunkin' Tuesday

Conan will rule late night ! I must say not only was it impressively funny and vintage Conan, but Will Ferrell was hilarious and Pearl Jam (despite sound issues WHY CAN'T THEY FIGURE THAT OUT ) rocked. The return of sidekick Andy was fantastic as well. I must say I was never truly a fan of Jay. He had a nice way with people, but his skits, sidewalk talk and monologues were hokey and full of hack jokes. I know Conan is guilty of this too at times, but I am leaning that Late Night will allow him to really run with it. That's it for now....more later probably. Here are your highlights: Major Pew Pew , the world's largest Death Star ...I mean laser Japan is developing a warning system for the Pew Pew The upcoming election in Iran is one of the most important this year, it has the capability to further radicalize talks or actually lead to rational talks. President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad might just pull it out if enough people do not vote. Hurricane Season: 10 things to do NOW Oba...

It's Tuesday, but feels like a Monday because of the Holiday. How did everyone's go? Hope it was fantastic. Mine included taking the lil boat out with the lady and cruisin' it was so Miami Vice. Last night her and I went to the Cubs game that was a hitfest/walkfest . WTF CUBS?! Can you get out of this funk already? Cool hats though. Also Chicago is becoming worse and worse of a city weather-wise, my patience is running thin...if only California wasn't imploding...oh well. Here are your highlights: But the president decided to start what may become a new tradition by sending a wreath to the African-American Civil War Memorial at Vermont Avenue and U Street Northwest in Washington- CNN Obama did the right thing yesterday . I am one of those who will rage on the South and their undying unapologetic love for the Confederacy, however soldiers who passed on deserve their remembrance. If they get a wreath though so should Americans who fought through much more dire and diffic...
