Get Your Dunkin Monday

Well we had a fantastic time at Disneyland. It was a first time for both of us and it was great to get away, ride some rides and simply hang out with one another. We get hitched in less than two months, it was lovely to escape for a day. I'm off to work an early shift for once. You all hold down the fort.

Here are your highlights:

Boehner really not helping Romney

We're Not Stupid

Read this now, the GOP uses a separate set of "facts"

Draft grade for the NFC East, I'm don't agree with drafting another quarterback when we need an o-line to protect any quarterback. It also add controversy to the line up, two rookies in the same draft...putting even more pressure on RG3. I can't tell you how much I dislike that move. We'll see how this plays out. I'm just glad we don't have to deal with Rex Grossman starting anymore....knock on wood.

Get Your Dunkin Thursday

Tomorrow the lady and I are heading to Disney. We both have the day off tomorrow, so why not? I have never been to Disneyland either has she, although we have both been to Disneyworld. It should be fun and since the weather has been odd in LA recently I'm thinking the crowds might be a bit lighter...let's hope. I'm kind of exhausted, working everyday for the past ten days is a bit much. Gotta do what I gotta do though.

Here are your highlights:

Obama's Honeymoon Lasted Zero Days, the hated the very idea of him from day one

Students loans, what's the deal? Basically the GOP sucks, shocking.

Maybe just maybe people are realizing what a lot of us have been saying for a while now, Austerity is stupid and hasn't worked

Chuck Grassley support domestic violence

DRAFT DAY: Well it's on RG3 now to be the man. I'm pumped, if anyone would like season tickets let me know as I live in Cali now and can't go to games.

And I'm Back (Acting Update)

It's been a week since I last posted and lot has happened. First I didn't even realize, but work had me scheduled for seven days in a row. I got home and went back to work. Awesome. Then on Wednesday I received a phone call from my agent...I booked a commercial.

I had auditioned for an internet spot before I left for Milwaukee and when I got back to LA I found out I had a callback. I didn't think much of it because the script was dialogue heavy and as much as I rehearsed, I felt I might have been a bit too young for the part. The callback, however went great, they had me do the script a couple of times, I was able to improv, and people laughed (always a good sign). Well wouldn't you know the very next day I got the call (there may or may not have been some celebratory high-fiving and drinking).

The past week has been surreal and a blur. Between working every day up to the shoot, to the fitting, to the shoot day and being on set; I'm exhausted, I'm excited, I'm ready to do it again. It was one of the coolest experiences of my life. Yesterday I was able to do what I love and after getting over the initial nerves of shooting a commercial in LA, I was able to settle in and do what I do. And I think it'll turn out great.

My hope is that for those of you who would like to see it I'll be able to share it. As of yesterday they were saying it would go international, but remain internet only. The company happens to tap into my nerdy side and for the commercial itself and the role I play, it's a character to say the least. I can tell you that I'm proud of the work I did and grateful to the crew for being professional, fun and supportive. This is only just the beginning, one spot at a time, I'm on my way.

Get Your Dunkin Tuesday

I made it back alive. It was a fantastic weekend one filled with tastings, booze and fried cheese curds. Even if Wisconsin doesn't recall Walker at least they can say they have fried cheese curds. NOM. I'll probably post more bachelor festivus later and we most certainly will be discussing it on the next TATPodcast. I honestly couldn't have experience a better bachelor party. A special thanks to my guys and Paddy K for making it a rockin good time. And Milwaukee, you're cool in my book.

Wanker of the Decade has been revealed!!! And the list of the other 9 Wankers can be read here. Fantastic job by Atrios, when he writes more than a paragraph it's kind of fun.

Bachelor festivus this weekend!! I'm headed to Milwaukee with the guys to go on a brew and distillery tour. I'm super pumped and can't wait to meet up, drink good booze and get away. I only have three more nights of closing and then off! This weekend was me simply working, so I've got nothing to report, unlike the asshats in the above story. They reported and failed miserably. Yesterday I had all day off. It was just what I needed. I met the lady for lunch at Huckleberry, then headed on a mission to try on some suits for the wedding. I have had little success since I'm looking for a distinct cut, style and color; everywhere I go all the suits seem to be too dark. Then I stumbled into Nordstrom for probably the millionth time and tried on a suit I didn't expect to work at all. At first it didn't work. It was too boxy. Then the sales person brought me the suit in a size and length smaller...perfect. I found my suit, thank god, and boy am I relieved. The wedding is less than 80 days away, bachelor party is next weekend. Let's do this America!

Well I had a cool night at work. It was just a normal day nothing too big, but then a guy in a suit asked for my assistance. Turns out he was a rep for Angel's Envy bourbon and with him was none other than Lincoln Henderson. Now, if you haven't heard of Lincoln Henderson or Angel's Envy I can understand, but to let you in on the know, Lincoln Henderson is a legend of bourbon and a master distiller. He spent his career creating some of the best bourbons in the world including Woodford Reserve. He is out on his own now with his kids and created Angel's Envy, basically the first "indie label" of bourbon, it's aged four years or so in charred oak, then finished in port wine barrels up to six months. Angel's Envy is the latest all-star in bourbon. And I so happened to be at the right place at the right time because the rep decided to purchase a bottle for me and have Lincoln Henderson sign it! Incredible, quite a randomly awesome thing.

Well it was taxes day!!! That's right, they are donezo, it took a long dang time to finish them though, why? Oh because I found out I had to be a "small business" since I was paid last year for acting. It wasn't much, but it turned out to be a process. Overall, I'm happy because I didn't owe and it's done. Next year will be a whole new experience, why? We'll be married! The joys of doing taxes. Also too, Congrats to the pro-ballers of Kentucky.
