 Last night I taught a wine class about Oregon and Washington wines. It's great to connect people to new places and new experiences. Most had never had a wine from either region, so it was special to allow everyone to taste the excellence of their wines.  March Madness!! The Illini dropped out to a tough  Kentucky squad while other Big Ten teams faired better. It was a wild season. I'm impressed by how many of us are continuing to carry on. Last night I attended a presentation by a world-renowned artist. They focus on the environment and the cycle of life in their artwork. It was inspiring to see and witness the creativity and consideration for our planet in such a way. We all left the exhibition in awe of what one person can accomplish. Well, we survived the tornadoes. Sadly, not everyone else did . I waited for the all-clear until a little after 1 a.m. It was a relief when it came through. We had two back-to-back warnings, and winds were up to 60 mph. The next day was like living in the movie Interstellar. Dust kicked up everywhere, and the air was unbreathable. The skies were a shade of gray. If this is what the tornado season will be like this year, I'm not looking forward to it.  Our youngest has a birthday this weekend. It’s amazing how time flies. It’s cliche, I know, but with this kid it’s been lighting fast.
