Get Your Dunkin' Wednesday

I'm impressed by how many of us are continuing to carry on. Last night I attended a presentation by a world-renowned artist. They focus on the environment and the cycle of life in their artwork. It was inspiring to see and witness the creativity and consideration for our planet in such a way. We all left the exhibition in awe of what one person can accomplish. There is beauty in this world if we stop and take a look. The irony is now I will share awful news from around the world...we are all things and we experience everything all at once. 

Here are your highlights:

I live in the country. The Postal Service is more important than Republicans think. And it hurts their voters the most. 

Tesla dealerships are under attack. You know what? I'm okay with this.

Judge Theodore Chuang. Asian American Excellence. 

Our Governor is getting some press. I get that Pritzker is a billionaire, BUT I think he has the potential to FDR his message. He is clearly not beholden to the billionaire class. 

Israelis are protesting Bibi. Finally. 

I will not be flying anytime soon.

The Uneducation of Texas

This is frightening. Right-wing legislators in Texas are proposing changes to our history books and they might actually be successful. TPM : The conservative bloc on the Texas State Board of Education won a string of victories Friday, obtaining approval for an amendment requiring high school U.S. history students to know about Phyllis Schlafly and the Contract with America as well as inserting a clause that aims to justify McCarthyism. Outspoken conservative board member Don McLeroy, who reportedly spent over three hours personally proposing changes to the textbook standards, even wanted to cut "hip-hop" in favor of "country" in a section about the impact of cultural movements. That amendment failed. The board also voted to delay further debate on the nationally influential standards until March, with a final adoption vote now scheduled for May.
