Get Your Dunkin Thursday

I'm beat. Two days in a row up way late editing. I also might have had too much booze as well, but that's neither here nor there...I've got to do the 9-5 today after doing the close last night. They call that a clopen in the industry.

Here are your highlights:

And I'm back! Wow, it's been a while. I think we have one box and about ten or so things to hang, but we're settled in and enjoying our new place. It's been too cold to use the pool, but believe you mean we will. I've been staying up late writing a bunch and trying to meet deadlines for various things. Hopefully something will come out of the many different feelers I have out. It's the slow time of year. So I'm focused on my family, my craft and Sufjan Stevens' Christmas album.

Here are your highlights:

Almost There

We're almost done with all of our unpacking. There's just a few things in bins that need a home. I'm exhausted...still...I'll be back after Thanksgiving.

Moving On Up

The Mrs. and I are prepping to move. I'm hunkering down and trying to cover internet, gas, electric and etc...and etc...

We move Wednesday morning and then hopefully over the next week we'll settle into our new abode. We're pretty excited for the savings. It's right up the street as well, so there's no real adjustment to environment or "getting to know our surroundings." Once we (and by we I mean my wife) figures out where everything is to be placed, I'll share pictures.

This weekend was spent participating in debauchery at the USC homecoming festivities and then driving to San Diego for the day to see Poppa Frank. I'm exhausted from the trip, but it was worth it since I won't be seeing him over the holidays at all. Did I mention I love San Diego?

Anyway, just wanted to stop in, say hello and give you all an update. Till next time...RAGE ON!

It's clear we're still dealing with the same Republican party. Mostly likely it will take time before the self-implode...if they ever. I didn't think they change over night, however Boehner today did sound more defeated than normal. I'm almost certain he knows he's losing his job. Maybe in two year the media will finally throw up their hands and announce they know the GOP is batshit crazy. I won't hold my breath. Anyone catch Obama's press conference? I thought it went rather well.

Wow. I needed a day off after Tuesday night. I may or may not have drank just a tad too much bubbly after the election was called for President Barack Obama. Now it's back to work. It's back to changing this great nation bit by bit. The first priority should be creating jobs and finishing what the administration started four years ago, recovery. It's going to be interesting to watch the GOP figure out what there next move will be. Their Black Jimmy Carter approach was thwarted clearly by the American people on Tuesday. There might be an ugly in-fight coming up over the next couple of years. I have a inkling they're going to have to jump off the crazy cliff before ever coming back to America. The America that voted on Tuesday, not the America they think still exists.

Get Your Dunkin Election Day 2012

Well the Mrs. and I voted. After about an hour or so of waiting, we went to the archaic little set up and did the damn thing. I'm now going to try to avoid tv, Twitter and Facebook for much of the day. Hopefully, I'll get some writing done. It all comes down to tonight's results...what I'm feeling is Obama will be reelected and this blog will go back to thwarting ridiculous right-wing conspiracies. I hope that feeling is right. It's much more fun knowing there's a competent man leading the Free World.

Here are your highlights:

Romney Closes Dirty

Nate Silver, he's smart and wonky

So I drank too much whiskey last night. Gonna have to take it easy today...lucky me I have work till 10pm. In other news we move in a couple of weeks to our new place. It's a bit older than our current place, but it has charm and it is much more affordable. This will undoubtedly make things a bit easier. I'm looking forward to it just not looking forward to packing up our schtuff. We've gotta lotta schtuff.

It's that time of year where we inch closer to election day. I'm a tad bit nervous, but after Obama's response to Hurricane Sandy I think Obama will be reelected. The most recent swing states seem to be aligning for a tight Obama victory and an almost certain right-wing meltdown. Romney as we've come to the finish line, as suspected, is not a strong closer offering little real "momentum". I don't look forward to the media response if Obama wins. By the way this election cycle developed it stands to reason they'll call the election result a call for Obama to go further to the mystical center. They'll ask for more austerity, bipartisanship and hurt for the less fortunate. And TAX CUTS! I say if Obama is reelected he should treat it is a mandate for his agenda. Raise taxes on the rich, invest in infrastructure and education and hire back a ton of gov't workers...hope.
