Get Your Dunkin Wednesday

Quite a busy day ahead of me. Tonight is the Hawks chance to end the series and grasp the Stanley Cup. CANNOT WAIT! Last night was an enjoyable if not odd Drinking Liberally. I don't even know what to say. Odd. Really odd. I even got a little ragetastic at one point. *Note to newcomers to DL Chicago...it is called Drinking LIBERALLY for a reason. We are liberals and progressives. We like drinking. We don't think there are two sides to everything. So, if you don't like that, don't come or do come. Whatever makes you happy. We enjoy new thoughts, original thoughts and free thoughts, but remember the word LIBERAL is in the there. That's all. I can't wait for this weekend.

Here are your highlights:

We Never Learn. Anonymous source makes jack-ass statement. The cycle begins again.

Not a good sign. Mortgage purchase applications decline 35% over four weeks.

Harry Reid might win after all

Unions and Netroots congrats. Even though Lincoln won, derivatives received much harsher treatment.

Circa Survive on Fallon

The very serious thinkers aren't willing to actually think serious about our economy. Rep. Janet Schakowsky a member of Obama's Debt Commission says it is "unlikey" to succeed. Why? Well because the conservative members on the commission won't consider raising taxes. Look we all knew this Debt Commission was a joke, especially with a lineup that included Paul "Going Galt" Ryan. The reality here is the Democrats need to be all over this. If people are truly concerned about balancing the budget and are screaming "deficit!" They need to be called out for the disingenuous and unreal approach to both issues. With unemployment still hovering around 10% and the Senate cutting COBRA. It looks like both parties are quite happy dooming our nation.

Chow!
