How high is your gas price? Here it's a whopping $4.79. That's really high for our town, and it doesn't seem to be getting any better. The "pain at the pump" is real. And consumers aren't confident either. I've seen many a pundit on BlueSky say we're all being ridiculous, and that the economy is fine. In fact, it's good! I think it's safe to say that looking at Wall St.'s gambling problem as a measure of the economy should die an epic death. "But the average American has savings!" Do they? Or are the numbers skewed by wealth hoarders? I'm not sure, but everyone I know isn't living it up like this economy is great. They also don't have the money, as the pundits say they do. Unless they're hiding it under couches.
