Republicans could fix this; there is a way around the shutdown to still supply necessary benefits....BUT they won't. I know of folks in our rural town who are on SNAP. All of them are white. Nearly 40% of SNAP recipients are white. Companies could, you know, pay a living wage. We could, you know, have a functioning economic system. But Republicans...
