 It's another weekend, another step closer to dictatorship. People are fed up and organizing, a bright spot in a dark climate. Speaking of climate, why did we move to Illinois?! This weather is lame: rain, mud, humidity, allergies. I'm miserable.

Does a president need to uphold the Constitution? I can't believe we have to ask that. 

"A slow-moving apocalypse" in the world of scientific research. There are openings for other countries to lead in science. Republicans do not understand what they're cutting. It's ignorant and detrimental. 

Genocide and the occupation of Gaza. 

Re-opening Alcatraz. It's all so stupid, I don't know where to begin. A criminal says we must put more criminals in hard-to-reach prisons. 

Crypto is a scam. And it's hurting Americans. 

We have a housing crisis on our hands.

the Hill : The leading House Democrat on military policy said Friday that he opposes repealing the law that bans openly gay people from serving in the military. Seventeen years ago, Rep. Ike Skelton (D-Mo.) played a major role in crafting the controversial law known as "Don't ask, don't tell." When President Bill Clinton wanted to lift the ban preventing gay people from joining the military, Skelton opposed the move. The end result was a compromise under which gay service members would conceal their sexual orientation. Now, after President Barack Obama pledged during his campaign and first year in office to repeal the law, Skelton finds himself on the opposite side once again.
