 It's graduation weekend on campus. This year is special because I'll be attending and supporting an intern I've mentored the past year. Sometimes you meet people at the right time. I don't have too much hope for this next generation that is terminally online, but this one intern can set the world on fire. It's been a bright spot in the most challenging year of my life. So yes, there's still good to be experienced in this world, which keeps me going. 

Here are your highlights:

Air traffic controllers in Denver lost contact on Monday. Not sure I'll be flying anytime soon. 

Greatest economy ever! Or a recession around the corner. 

With the cuts to higher education, it is clear the Trump administration has no idea what federal funding does. Research, technology, and more depend on this funding. It's ridiculously stupid to let America fall behind. 

Make water less safe to drink!

I think this place needs a makeover or I might archive the whole thing. Rep. Ike Skelton loves him some Don't Ask Don't Tell

the Hill : The leading House Democrat on military policy said Friday that he opposes repealing the law that bans openly gay people from serving in the military. Seventeen years ago, Rep. Ike Skelton (D-Mo.) played a major role in crafting the controversial law known as "Don't ask, don't tell." When President Bill Clinton wanted to lift the ban preventing gay people from joining the military, Skelton opposed the move. The end result was a compromise under which gay service members would conceal their sexual orientation. Now, after President Barack Obama pledged during his campaign and first year in office to repeal the law, Skelton finds himself on the opposite side once again.
