Drink Liberally & Save the Heartland

Received this from our dear leader at Drinking Liberally Chicago Matt Filipowicz:

Hey everyone,
As you may have heard, the Heartland Cafe up in Rogers Park is in danger of closing. The Heartland Cafe has been, and continues to be, a great friend to Chicago's Drinking Liberally and Laughing Liberally communities.

Every month, Laughing Liberally holds its shows at the Heartland owned No Exit Cafe. Last year, we hosted the national Living Liberally conference there. Owners Michael James and Katy Hogan have been nothing but great to us.

So this Tuesday October 12th, instead of holding our normal Drinking Liberally at Sheffield's, we're going to be attending the fund-raising benefit at the Heartland.

The Heartland is located at 7000 N Glenwood Ave.
The benefit starts at 7pm and runs until 11pm. There will be music, speakers, comedy and more. There is a $10 suggested donation.

The Heartland has a really solid beer selection, and there is bound to be a ton of great liberals there, so it's should be a really fun night where we can Drink Liberally AND support some of our friends.

Hope to see you there!
-Matt

I have only one thing to add, what the Heartland has done to support local talent, art and community is nothing short of amazing. In these trying times, it is one place worth saving. Damn the man, Save the Heartland!
