Good thought, we have a party that is only interested in power and not concerned with the interests of the American people or even the functioning of government. How the electorate can even be considering handing power back to this party is a classic example of anger being misplaced. This doesn't excuse the Democratic party for running a terrible effort to explain and put blame where blame is due. As a comedian could you ask for a heckler that is anymore transparent or buffoonish to play off of than the republicans? Some days it is just hard to understand the public mind, oops oxymoron.
I wish a right winger would actually show up to one of my shows...alas they don't appreciate humor, unless of course it is racist or "you might be a redneck if..." jokes.
