Get Your Dunkin Monday

Well we're here for two more days in Central Illinois. The wedding went off without a hitch, the reception was on the bride's family farm and we danced the night away. Yesterday was kiddie day. Nieces and nephews of my lady's playing while I watched football with her dad. Speaking of football...HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!!!! HAIL VICTORY!!! I'm not going to get too too too excited, but it was a great start to the season and encouraging to the see the defense much improved from last year. On offense; Sexy Rexy didn't look utterly awful and at times he looked like a quarterback, but leave it to him to fumble and turn the ball over when he needed to take the sack. Thank God for that defense. It's great to have football back. All is almost right in the world.

Here are your highlights:

Obama set to send the American Jobs Act to Congress

Nope, Rush isn't racist, not one bit at all...

The blackouts in Southern California & Arizona, How about some Infrastructure Spending?

Republicans no issue with playing dirrrty

9-11, ten years later. I tried my best to not watch much of the "never forget" footage and the highlight reels on the basic channels. I've always felt it was a day to be with family and so that's what we did. There are a lot of things I'd like to say, but this from Krugman encapsulates a bit of what I'd like to say, The Years of Shame

Chow!

I have cautious optimism that this new incarnation of the Skins will be more competitive and won't lose in the maddening and improbable ways they have over the last 12 freakin' years!

Rex Grossman is still a big question mark. I guess he's got the talent, but I wonder if he can make the right decisions at the right time and not turn the ball over!

They def looked much more competent, don't they? All that new and young blood is exactly what they needed.
