Get Your Dunkin Monday

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

It's tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiime! Thank you younger and less vocally talented brother of Michael Buffer. Tomorrow is election day. Grab your boots people and GOTV! We are at the eleventh hour, the final straw, insert your cliche here about it's tiiiiime. No, seriously, I am quite baffled that the majority of Americans expected to vote tomorrow have a case of short term memory loss. Does everyone really think Republicans will offer anything new? How can one conclude they will fare better with the economy than they did eight years prior to '08? It's mind boggling and stupid. Yes I said, I think it's stupid. It's stupid to be apathetic and young at this point and it's stupid to believe Republicans will do anything, but pout, throw temper tantrums and run this country further into the ground. I for one will not be a party to it and the rage from this blog is going to be even stronger going forward. Drinking Liberally tomorrow should be fun, it's at Irish Oak followed by Laughing Liberally on Wednesday at the No Exit Cafe. This is going to be a fun week! RAAAAAGE!!

Here are your highlights:

Desktop Calendars for your puter screen!

How big was the Rally for Sanity? Huge! It actually gives me hope that it was such a success

Redskins have a lot to think about during the bye week
. And Shanahan your on my watch list after the Rex Grossman debacle LOL

The Left hurting itself

What's the best costume of 2010? KRANG!!!

The damn Gap. Tomorrow people need to look at the sun and say to themselves "do I want to see this sight again?" If Republicans take control kiss Climate Progress, green energy jobs, the economy and the our educational system might be at risk as well goodbye. But even Jeb Bush thinks the GOP needs to be wary of believing they have a mandate to wreak havoc. What he gets wrong though is that this isn't a mid-term election about Obama, it's about the inability of the Dems to do the right thing.

Chow!

Ugh! The damn Skins let me down again. Two years in a row they've lost to the Rams and Lions...to be fair, though, the Rams have improved somewhat from last year. Still, what happened to the pass protection? Stephon Heyer has to go! They need to get some new O-linemen. This is still a hangover from the stupid moves Snyder and Vinnie Cerrato made.

And third down conversions? Horrible.

also, i was thinking that the Dems haven't made it clear to people that are angry about government, etc., that they're really choosing between government and corporations. The Dems needed to make it very clear that all this free market talk, all this talk about letting private sector handle this or do that, does NOT necessarily mean greater efficiency.

Have you ever tried calling the customer service line for some company? Sounds like the same thing to me as dealing with government bureaucracy. Oh, and how about all these corporations that just outsourced all these jobs? Those jobs ain't coming back. So it's a bit of a half truth about getting government off of the backs of private businesses so they can "create" jobs.

And so, they really think the big corporate interests are looking out for the little guy? What would have happened had Obama not gotten BP to fork over the $20 million upfront to guarantee that there be some sort of compensation fund and not get mired down in legal back and forth?

The anti-Christ? The false prophets? Look no further than the tea baggers and extremist Republicans.

Our O-line is a big flaw in the scheme of things. Luckily I didn't get to watch the game and only followed it online. Seems like I missed a doozy.

As for the gov't v. corporations, yes I think the Dems (not Obama) haven't stuck to their guns over the past year. The Citizens United case unleashed a wealth of corporate influence on this year's election and many citizens have no idea they are being played.

It's a sad state of affairs.

I'm interested to see how the Tea Party/GOP establishment survives once elected. I see serious in-fighting already that will exacerbate itself once Teabaggers are in Congress. I don't think it will bode well for our country nor their electoral changes in 2012.
