It amazes me that all of sudden the Right decides they care about the state of education in America. With the economic downturn and subsequent budget cuts you would think they would be outraged by schools losing funds, supplies and textbooks. No, they are stating they would be much happier home schooled and learning about the teachings of durr Remington rifle. Here is the scariest thing President Obama will be saying to kids in schools and you should hide your children too, beware the underlying message:

But at the end of the day, we can have the most dedicated teachers, the most supportive parents, and the best schools in the world – and none of it will matter unless all of you fulfill your responsibilities. Unless you show up to those schools; pay attention to those teachers; listen to your parents, grandparents and other adults; and put in the hard work it takes to succeed.
And that’s what I want to focus on today: the responsibility each of you has for your education. I want to start with the responsibility you have to yourself.

Maybe these parents are so threatened by the idea of responsibility because then they would have to actually research such lunatic ideas. They would find in the meat of the speech nothing of what they thought the POTUS brainwashing memo would include, working for their education, discovery of their talents, and dear God no PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY. This stupid and I mean stupid faux contra-versy is another attempt to discredit President Barack Obama, the evil/pro-terrorist/fascist/Hitlerlike/unborn/black guy, who is doing the same exact thing another holy/pro-American/patriot/Washingtonlike/actor/white guy did.

So what did we learn today class? America is in a far worst state than we previously thought.
