Get Your Dunkin Thursday

Tomorrow the lady and I are heading to Disney. We both have the day off tomorrow, so why not? I have never been to Disneyland either has she, although we have both been to Disneyworld. It should be fun and since the weather has been odd in LA recently I'm thinking the crowds might be a bit lighter...let's hope. I'm kind of exhausted, working everyday for the past ten days is a bit much. Gotta do what I gotta do though. Here are your highlights: Obama's Honeymoon Lasted Zero Days , the hated the very idea of him from day one Students loans, what's the deal? Basically the GOP sucks, shocking.  Maybe just maybe people are realizing what a lot of us have been saying for a while now, Austerity is stupid and hasn't worked Chuck Grassley support domestic violence DRAFT DAY: Well it's on RG3 now to be the man . I'm pumped, if anyone would like season tickets let me know as I live in Cali now and can't go to games. Chow!

Second Day Winners

This is more winning than we did all of last season. A welcomed change in the team philosophy and I look forward to what the Redskins do next. John Clayton : 3. Washington Redskins: Like the New York Jets, the Redskins often have only three to five selections in some years. Under Mike Shanahan and Bruce Allen, the Redskins kept trading back and now have 13 picks. That's fine, but they also got some pretty decent players they liked while making those moves. Jarvis Jenkins, a second-round pick from Clemson, is a big body to put on the 3-4 defensive line. The Redskins considered taking wide receiver Leonard Hankerson with one of their two second-round picks. They ended up trading down and still getting him, in the third round. Ryan Kerrigan, the first-round pick, will be the team's left outside linebacker. And to make it official, the Redskins had no plans to draft a quarterback in the first three rounds. The abundance of young players should add depth and help on special teams I ...

Camskins

Everyone is saying it : "If Shanahan wants to take a shot at him and still has a high opinion despite this subpar year -- I'm being kind when I say subpar; against college defenses he wasn't able to get it done -- then maybe Jake Locker could go there. But I gave them Cam Newton. "I gave them Cam Newton because I think that's the kind of quarterback that can be molded, and he has all the potential, all the upside you could want," Kiper said. I'm still not sold that getting a quarterback in the draft is key. I know I'm "crazy", but who is going to protect him? Also too, 3-4 defense needs help. I am Frank Chow and I approved this message

Over the holiday I was able to attend the Redskins v. Giants game. The lady and I had a great time, despite the loss and surprisingly cold weather. There's nothing like hearing the band play and having a ruckus crowd hyped to see the home team. I have had season tickets now going on three years. It has given me some unbelievable memories, however with an upcoming change in my life I need to part ways with them. If you or anyone you know would be interested simply email me . I can transfer the tickets (Club Level Two seats with an Orange Parking pass, tons of perks including the heated, comfortable Club Section lounges) for the next three seasons. I wish I could keep em', but I'd be more than happy to transfer them to a fellow fan. HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!! I am Frank Chow and I approved this message

Rex-skins

Will look something like this for the remainder of the season. Donovan McNabb deserves better . Here's hoping he gets his due respect and lands on a team where the coaches don't scape goat him. Playing injured for most of the season with sub-par talent around him the majority of the season, that's Redskins' football. It's something the Shanahans obviously know nothing about . What a disappointing end. The McNabb jersey's on sale already... I'm doing the stay in and chill thang today. Laundry, physical therapy exercises and cleaning. It's the Cowboys and I can't even bare to watch, how depressing is that? At least I'm on vacation and I'm done with my Christmas shopping! It's the little things this time of year that get me psyched. I am Frank Chow and I approved this message

McNabb Benched

"It's beyond disrespectful." Yup. Please someone end this season sooner than later! The Shanahans have disappointed and with this latest move have put a stain on an already embarrassing season. Rex Grossman . That's all I have to say. Hail.To.The.Redskins. I am Frank Chow and I approved this message Update: This seriously has put a damper on my day, that and work is busy. Get me the fugg out of here!

Redskins Play Today

And I refuse to watch . Every year is a rebuilding year. Le Sigh. At least the Bears are playing the Patriots. It will be a real test for both teams. I'm hoping the Bears put Tom Brady in a hurt locker. I am Frank Chow and I approved this message Update: They were who we thought they were . Only the Redskins can get an extra down, score a TD and still find a way to lose. *Le Super Sigh

Redskins v. Giants Today

Due to my schedule and teh local teevee, I won't be able to watch the game . My prediction: Our lack of running game and weapons at wide receiver will lead to another abysmal showing on offense. The 3-4 defense will look like it has all year. Also too and such the laundry list of injuries we have accrued over the last three weeks doesn't help. We don't have the youth to step in. We don't seem to have an alternative game plan anywhere. Re-building weighs on us fans. Giants 28 Redskins 17 HAIL TO THE REDSKINS! (let's hope I'm wrong) I am Frank Chow and I approved this message

Get Your Dunkin Monday

I'm baaaaack! And still full from turkey and fixins. On top of that after days on end with my lady's niece and nephew I've contracted a cold. Thanksgiving for the win! It was a lovely time in Central Illinois, but it's also nice to be back in Chicago (where I'm not the token). I certainly didn't mind the time off. I'm not sure what I'm going to do this week. A full week of work does not sound like fun...AT ALL. How was everyone's Turkey Day? Here are your highlights: Wikileaks Reaction and everyone wants to bomb Iran This is too much Fox Nation falls for an Onion article and posts it to rally the Right Dems in their own way Cat Food Fight, Progressive Deficit Plan Congress "Back to Work" - the lame duck session has an agenda full of possibilities...who am I kidding?! Chow! P.S. The Redskins continue to disappoint.

Redskins Sunday

It's gonna be another busy day in Chicago. We have to hit up Trader Joe's, do some fall cleaning, Redskins game and then tonight we're having friends over for the Walking Dead premiere. In between all of that I'm going to try to edit down the material from the second episode of the Trans-Atlantic Throwdow n. Paddy K and I talked for over two hours (we lost track of time) and can't wait to share the hilarity, discussion and music with everyone. Redskins v Lions quick analysis . First of all we aren't great on turf ie the Rams game. Second the Lions handed us an embarrassing loss last year NOT COOL, it's time for revenge. Third, if Orapko and the defense get to Stafford the game hopefully will swing our way like last week...with less ugliness. Let's hope McNabb finds his groove soon and one of our receivers steps up. HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!! I am Frank Chow and I approved this message P.S. Yoshi's was aaamaaaazzzzinnng.

Heading to Maeve on Wrightwood around 2:30 or so. Let's hope the running game establishes itself today. Hail to the Redskins! Chow! Update : Back to being a Redskins fan of old. FML. Today ended up being a shitty fucking day. Personally as well.

Redskins Sunday and Ouch

Woke up today and had my lady look at my back . She took one look and noticed my spine is crooked. I knew my hips had shifted, but the spine thing is a new revelation. I guess it makes sense. I visit the doctor tomorrow and hopefully a physical therapist after that. I am lucky enough to have a couple of friends who are pt's and their advice so far has been sound. The worst part of all of this, I walk around like a gimp. My back spasms randomly especially while sitting and I have yet to relax comfortably since Wednesday. On Friday we are attending a wedding, boy is that gonna be a sight... In other news it is Redskins Sunday! I am headed to Maeve to hang with the FightforOldDC crowd . I am hoping the Redskins hippie punch the Texans. Since that is all the rage these days. Hail to the Redskins! I am Frank Chow and I approved this message

HAIL TO THE REDSKINS! HAIL VICTORY! BRAVES ON THE WARPATH! WE BEAT DALLAS IN DC!! What a weekend, first Michigan pulls out a nailbater against Notre Dame and second the Redskins pull out a nailbiter against the Cowgirls . THAT'S WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT PEOPLE! I met up with some old buddies and went to Maeve on Wrightwood for Fight for Old DC. At first I was apprehensive, but once I walked in the bar, it was packed with fellow die hard fans (you woulda thought it was the Super Bowl). I must say it was heart warming to have a piece of home in Chicago. I am definitely going back. I am definitely excited for this season. No, I do not expect the Redskins to be world-beaters , however anything is better than last year and WHAT A START . We beat the much hyped, overrated Cowgirls and that is all I wanted this weekend. Here are your highlights: McNabb and Cooley the chemistry is coming together So do it. Boehner says he will back middle-class tax cuts only FCC to open up SUPER DUPER WI...

Redskins Offense Will Wear Defenses Down

An inspiring article about Mike Shanahan's offensive philosophy . It may not be on its best this year, but the man has true grit and a track record that proves he knows how to make it work. I cannot wait for this season to begin. It will be nice to see the Burgundy & Gold knocking some heads. Hail to the Redskins! Chow!

McNabb Redskin for Life

NFC East Blog : "I'll be here with the Redskins for years," he told NBC's Dan Hellie. "We've both said it, I've said it, they've said it. I want to be a Redskin. I want to be a Redskin. Just like I was an Eagle for years, I want to be a Redskin. I want to finish my career here. There's a lot of exciting things that are ahead of us here, there's a lot of talent here, and I think good things can happen here in Washington." Damn straight. It will probably take a couple years, but if Brett Favre can last as long as he has as an effective QB, I don't see how McNabb won't either. Let's hope greatness is around the corner. HAIL TO THE REDSKINS! I am Frank Chow and I approved this message

Get Your Dunkin Friday

Here we are Friday again! Man I wish one of these days I can wake up and say that about every day...does that make sense? Aw, fugg it. This weekend is going to be packed, multiple parties to hit up and a trip to IKEA . Yesh, I lost a bet and now I have to trek through the unknown layers of Chicago suburbia to the gigantic monster of furniture and knick knacks known as IKEA. The lady of course is ecstatic. I am sure it will be a great time staring at square tables, circular tables and couches that look comfy, but aren't...I digress. IKEA isn't all that bad because at the end of it, Frank gets some meatballs and delicious drinks that are from another country and labeled funny, so I have no idea what I am drinking, but it's gooood. Well sounds like an eventful weekend, huh? Here are your highlights: Louie Gohmert freaks out about " Terror Babies " (video above) Cutting Social Security is Extreme This is unsettling. Quote of the Year...in Football

Image
Redskins Coach Mike Shanahan : “Yeah, both of us are here to win a Super Bowl. If you’re not in it to win a Super Bowl, then you need to find something else to do. I’m not ever going to comment on how things were done here before, but we had a philosophy that worked in Denver, and that’s what we’re going to follow.” Now let's bring the damn Lombardi Trophy back to the nation's capital! Get Your Dunkin Tuesday

I missed a day! Holy moly I missed a day of INSANITY!!! My normal routine this past month or so has been wake up early, eat, go to work, come back from work and do my workout. Last night threw a wrench in that process, I had to pick up my Redskins tickets from the far reaches of Madison Avenue! No really. Hillsdale, IL where back behind a windy road, hidden amongst trees and next door neighbor to the Shire is a Fed Ex location . Fugging awful. I didn't get back till 9:30pm at which point it was lights out Frank. So I missed a workout which means I HAVE MY SKINS TIX, but I am behind a day...the plan...I am going to do the unthinkable and skip the recovery day or add it as a night workout. Yes I am that INSANE one day two workouts!! We will see, but the great part is although I feel less accomplishment having not worked out two days in a row. I FEEL less accomplishment having NOT worked out TWO days in a row. I am already a changed man and that was the whole point of this journey. Ha...

Redskins Season Tickets

Image
Going to pick them up from FedEx (location not the field) on Monday. Can't wait for the Training Camp to end and the season to begin. Hail to the Redskins! I have season tickets, but unfortunately my family fell on some hard times, like many during the recession, and I cannot afford to make it to every home game this year. If you or anyone you know are interested in seeing the greatest franchise EVER, the availability can be found here or you can email me at iwantskinstix at g mail.com. They are club level and underneath an awning, so in case of bad weather you are protected. It has all the club level perks as well as an Orange parking pass. It is honestly an amazing experience...I am also tired of selling them off to Giants fans, true Hogs are much appreciated.
