Get Your Dunkin Wednesday

Today is Ash Wednesday . For those who know me personally this is my first as a C.I.T. or Catholic in Training. My fiance is Catholic, so I will be going through the process to be baptized and confirmed...I believe I'll start after Easter. Tomorrow we meet with the director of the church we plan on getting married at, I am actually looking forward to it. All of this is rather new, I grew up in a Lutheran household and it's not as if it's my first time to church either, but the process will be challenging. I'm interested to see how much I grow over the following years to come. Regardless nothing will change here, same ole ragetastic Frank with maybe a positive story here and there ; ) Here are your highlights: Quinn expected to sign Death Penalty Ban Could Walker be backing down? Emails reveal possibly AIG repays $6.9 billion of TARP In a concerted effort to suppress the vote, Republicans are targeting students New Explosions in the Sky song LOL, He's joining the Na...

We hope you like this latest episode as it is back to the normal format and full of awesomeness. Synopsis: This is Episode 6 a.k.a. Fizzbitch a.k.a. Miracle Baby, because we have so many technical problems and interruptions that this one almost didn't happen! Please bear with us, we do apologize! Today Paddy is sipping on some Harviestoun (Scotland) beers while Frank gets excited about North Shore Distillery and the DMK Burger Bar in Chicago. On the political front, Paddy explains the Irish election system (ranked preferences, not binary choices) and then Frank discusses Wisconsin. Somewhere in the middle we discuss civil rights, democracy and the relationship between them. ...

Looking Like Keanu

Image
I really don't know how bearded guys do it. I'm looking haggard . The beard that's creeping its way in, itches. Is this how it always goes? How the heck do people grow a beard if it itches constantly? I'm not going to lie, I'll be glad when this short film shoots and I can finally shave. In the meantime I guess I should purchase hobo gloves and a trench coat. It seems fitting at this juncture of my beard growth. Chalk this up to "random complaint of the month" by Frank. The Trans-Atlantic Throwdown

Image
I am psyched to share with you the project I have been hyping up for a month or so...finally. The Trans-Atlantic Throwdown podcast with Paddy K and Frank Chow . A little bit of the back story : Paddy K and Frank Chow are two friends who go way back. About fifteen years ago, in the sprawling Virginia suburbs south of Washington, DC, a teenaged fanboy Paddy drew comic-book-inspired campaign posters for aspiring class representative Frank. What do superheroes have to do with student government? Absolutely nothing, but a strong friendship was born that day. Things have changed a lot since then: Frank studied theater and psychology in college and ended up on the stand-up comedy circuit in Chicago; Paddy studied economics, did some time in the Army, married an Irish girl and now lives in Dublin. Working as cubicle monkeys in 9 to 5 jobs, Paddy and Frank found themselves ranting at each other via Gchat on a daily basis and finally decided that rather than just typing about it, why not r...
