Get Your Dunkin' Thursday
I'm enjoying this. I haven't felt this hopeful since 2008. But if we learned anything from '08, it's that we have to keep our foot on the gas. The biggest mistake Biden made during his presidency was not going out and showing his work. Ribbon cuttings, kissing babies, shaking hands, putting his name on checks- people want that shit. "We built that." People need you to beat the dead horse. The electorate forgot quickly how terrible Trump is as president and elected him for a second go-around, only to realize two years later, he's a fuckin disaster. The Republican Party is a disaster. I said this on BlueSky; this midterm was a reminder that Republican policies are wildly unpopular.
Here are your highlights:
The Best MAGA meltdowns. My favorite, "Our Churches, Christianity -- it's all gone."
And just like that, OpenAI releases a new statement about "responsible infrastructure." The techbros are shaking in their boots.
Will Hegseth be the first to go? He's definitely on the hot seat.
Let the knives come out! Someone is leaking about Stephen Miller. Let them fight.
Hope for Ukraine. After the election, I was thinking about Ukraine. They need our support. It'd make more sense to end the war in Iran and put more support behind Ukraine. HOWEVER, Donny serves Putin. We'll see how the Dems handle this going forward.
I am Frank Chow, and I approve this message.
