John Cole has a fantastic post about the African-American community's outlook on black-white relations in America. He points out you have to be " blind as a bat " to not see why the community isn't optimistic at this point in our nation's history. From day one we knew, the first black president was going to have a different set of rules than any of his predecessors. Barack Obama happens to be the first, so it should be no surprise after the past two years the African-American community is disgruntled with white-black relations. As John points out it's nearly maddening. It was a weekend of way too much indulgence! I'm exhausted and frankly losing hope in a lot of ways. None the less the weekend was rather positive on the sports end. Michigan pulled out another nailbiter against the Hoosiers. The Redskins put the hurt on Vick and actually kept a lead for the entire game (thank god the defense didn't completely wilt.) Well it was a GaGa weekend, I took the lady to the Rosemont Theater to see Lady Gaga live and she was beyond thrilled. Needless to say it was quite entertaining, no pants, lots of dancing and tons of whacked out and weirdness to go around. I think I might have found a hobby better than people watching at the airport, Gaga fans (or "Little Monsters" as she refers to them) watching. It was great to see the lady enjoying herself and although Gaga isn't my particular musical tastes, girl puts on a good show. So this was the weekend of Gaga.
