Howdy Tuesday! Normally I would be ranting and raving about stuff here, but instead I am going to save it for tomorrow night's State of the Union. Drinking Liberally was moved to tomorrow to accommodate the President and his big moment of unifying. It's not going to happen, but man it would be nice if he went American President on everyone . So I have survived the assault from the "lady virus" and am back to the blogosphere. As I was watching the tube with my lady and enjoying some delicious snacks word broke of the Ft. Hood shootings . Of course the sphere as been a blaze with speculations , new stories and supposed stories about the shooter or shooters. It is all elementary at this point as Greenwald points out , however our thoughts should be with the families at Ft. Hood deeply effected by this terrible tragedy. It was a wild and crazy weekend in sports and politics. Overall I was relaxed and enjoyed a nice time doing basic things I normally don't get to do, like hanging out with the lady and watching football. Alas others had a little crazier weekend covered in freedom flags and holding signs more disgusting than their discourse. I am talking about the right wing extremists known as the Tea Baggers *eliminationists. I caught some of the slop on CSPAN, but they never panned out to show the entire "two million" that attended. I am from DC and I know what a crowd looks like there when it reaches "two million" NOT EVEN CLOSE ! Amongst all the fail there was one brave man who with the help from local socialist police force members made a quiet yet poignant statement, had those cops not been there I am sure he would have been eaten alive. Holy Christ on a bike what a weekend! So the lady and I went to a wonderful wedding of two close friends and were surprised to find a Columbus, OH Tax Tea Baggin' Party. YIKES! To summarize some of my favorite signs "Obama is a Kenyan", "Abortion is Murder" (on a tee shirt of a 12 year old child with a scope mind you), " I choose Freedom over Health Care ", and car equipped with a speaker system and tons of pictures of dead fetuses, a Hitler poster next to a Dr. Tiller poster comparing the two...needless to say RIGHT WING EXTREME! On a real note my lady was rather nervous for our safety as the looks and glares at the biracial couple walking by intimidated her greatly. The Detroit Socialist Presses of Democracy is reporting that Tea Party Tea Baggers in Michigan are being sued by the Detroit Wings for copyright infringement. The Michigan Tax Tea Party has been selling shirts with a similar logo of the NHL team with the phrase “Right Wing and Proud Real American.” The Red Wings are threatening to sue the Tax Tea goers , but so far the no tax group is none too happy. “We ain’t listening to no liberal team of socialists. HITLERS!” declared an anonymous tea bagger. The Right Wing group is claiming that the Red Wings is run by Stalin, a politician who has been dead for nearly 50 years.
