Get Your Dunkin' Thursday
The passing of James Van Der Beek has me a bit heartbroken. I grew up on Dawson's Creek. Our friends would skip the cafeteria and watch VHS episodes in our drama class. The show was like a soap opera to us. We'd quote it. We'd laugh about it. And we'd anticipate each new episode. Dawson, like me, was a filmmaker, wide-eyed and naive. Later in his career, James explored his comedic chops, and it was delightful. The guy had a knack for comedic timing. On social media, he shared his journey in Texas and his growing family. It was always with a philosophical hint. The guy loved his family and loved life. RIP, you'll be missed, Dawson.
